Day 1: Windhoek

Flights will land at the International Hosea Kutako Airport and you will be welcomed by a rep before transferring to the hotel. Remainder of the day will be spent at leisure. Your overnight stay will be spent at Terra Africa.

Day 2: Windhoek to Etosha

After breakfast, depart by road to the north, driving through Okahandja and Otjiwarongo. In Okahandja you have the opportunity to visit the Mbangura Woodcavers Market. Lunch will be enjoyed en-route. If time allows enjoy a short afternoon game drive in the beautiful Etosha National Park. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Kempinski Mokuti Lodge.

Day 3: Etosha National Park

After breakfast leave for a full day of game drives in the Etosha National Park. The Etosha National Park is one of the largest parks in Africa. The Etosha National Park was proclaimed as Namibia’s first conservation area in 1907 by the then German government. At that stage it covered a vast area and was then the largest game reserve in the world. Of the 114 mammals species found in the park several are rare and endangered, such as the black rhino, cheetah and black-faced impala. Stop for lunch at one of the camps in the Etosha National Park. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Toshari Lodge.

Day 4: Etosha to Twyfelfontein

After breakfast drive to the Damaraland region, where the volcanic landscape with amazing geologic formations is to found. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant en route. Leave for an afternoon visit to the Rock engravings done by bushman hunters and the Petrified Forest. In some cases, the paintings and engravings are millions of years old. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Twyfelfontein Country Lodge.

Day 5: Twyfelfontein to Swakopmund

After breakfast, depart by road to Swakopmund, one of the most popular vocational places on the Namibia coast. Here you can take a visit to Cape Cross and see its large seal colony. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant en route. Spend the afternoon at leisure to explore the small coastal town of Swakopmund with it old colonial buildings. Have dinner at a local restaurant, your overnight stay will be at Namib Guest House.

Day 6: Swakopmund

After breakfast, drive to Walvis Bay to board the Dolphin Cruise for a chance to see dolphin and sea lions while you enjoy a wonderful snack of oyster and champagne. After your Dolphin cruise transfer back to Swakopmund. Spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring this small coastal town. Tonight dinner will be at the famous Tug Restaurant. Your overnight stay will be at Central Guest House.

Day 7: Swakopmund to Namib Desert

After breakfast you depart from Swakopmund via Walvis Bay to the famous Sossusvlei area. Walvis Bay is Namibia’s major harbour town. The Walvis Bay Lagoon is a tranquil stretch of water, its natural beauty accentuated by thousands of flamingos gathering at the rich feeding grounds. Stop for lunch in a local restaurant. Arrive at Moon Mountain Lodge early in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Return to lodge for dinner.

Day 8: Namib Desert

Breakfast at your lodge then spend the morning visiting the impressive dunes of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, some up to 300 high. Depending on the time of day, they acquire diverse colours of yellow, red and orange. Climb one of the dunes and see how expansive the desert is. Visit the Sesriem Canyon: centuries of erosion have incised a narrow gorge about 1km in length. At the foot of the gorge, which plunges down 30 – 40 meters, are pools that become replenished after good rains. Your lunch, dinner and overnight stay will be at Moon Mountain Lodge.

Day 9: Depart from Namib Desert to Windhoek

After breakfast, return by road to Windhoek and transfer to the International Hosea Kutako Airport.
