Overview
Being on the top of the bucket list of many travelers, the Masai Mara National Reserve is famous not just for its great wildebeest migration but also for the incredible proximity to the abundant wildlife that freely roam around in the Reserve. Masai Safari provides an incredible life time experience through the wilderness of Kenya’s Masai Mara game reserve. Located in the southwest of Kenya, the park boasts of being Africa’s richest game reserve. With an area of 1510 sq km, Masai Mara becomes the perfect spot to experience a wildlife safari with family and friends.
Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara
Our trip starts as soon as you land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. The travel team of Kenya Safari will arrange an on time pick up by a four wheel drive SUV with panoramic roof accompanied by a local guide who could converse in English and would accompany you to all the tourist destinations between Nairobi and Masai Mara providing you with all the necessary information.
THE DAVID SHELDRICK WILDLIFE TRUST
Established in 1977, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Sanctuary is the home to numerous orphan baby elephants of Africa. Our tour guide will inform you about each elephant and you also get an opportunity to sponsor one of the elephant calf of your choice. After spending some time in the company of baby elephants, our tour guide would take you to the next destination in our check list.
THE GIRAFFE CENTRE
As the name suggests, the Giraffe Centre is abode to several endangered species of giraffe roaming around all across freely. This is the place where you get to feed giraffe with your own hands over an elevated platform, making the experience extra special.
THE LODGE HOTEL
When you reach the Masai Mara Park, the travel team of Kenya Safari makes sure that you get the best of travel experience, and so we arrange the finest of accommodations in one of the best lodge tent which have the most opulent and plush interiors. When you reach the tent hotel, you would be greeted with freshly prepared local drink along with a welcome dance performed by the local Masai tribe.
THE GAME DRIVE
After the complementary meal and little bit of rest, it is time for the first evening safari in a 4X4 into the wilderness of Masai Mara National Reserve for the first time. The evening game drive is of a couple of hours with all refreshments on us and ends with you returning back to the camp where dinner is served near bonfire and little bit of dance and music.
Day 2:
THE JEEP SAFARI
Day 2 starts early with a long game drive into the park. As the team of Kenya Safari, we are concerned about the safety of our clients, thus the game drive is accompanied by Masai guards which are trained professionals and take care of you and your kin during the full course of the safari experience. This is the day where you get closer to animals and your proximity with nature increases. Getting to see wild animals up close in their natural habitat surrounded by their family is an incredibly humbling experience.
THE SAFARI BRUNCH
The complementary brunch arranged in the middle of the park with spectacular view of horizon sinking into the grounds, is simply an icing on the cake to further enhance your travel experience. As day one comes to an end in evening, you get to witness the most incredible sunset of the Masai Mara.
Day 3:
HOT AIR BALLOONING
The last morning of the safari is for hot air ballooning. Our team at Kenya Safari, specifically arrange hot air balloon for our clients so that they could enjoy the bird eye view of the great migration of Masai Mara. After a half an hour balloon ride into the park, you would land in the middle of the park where a sumptuous champagne breakfast awaits in the middle of the wilderness of Masai Mara.
THE GET TOGETHER PARTY
The trip comes to an end with a small get together party orchestrated in the middle of the park. People take drinks, socialize and have photo sessions. New friends and acquaintances are made and the SUV takes you back to Nairobi airport with memories of the great Masai Mara in your heart.
