Day 1: Nairobi to Aberdares
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta Airport where you will be met by a representative. After a safari briefing depart Nairobi and drive to Nyeri for lunch at Aberdare Country Club. Take an afternoon transfer in hotel shuttle vehicles into Aberdare National Park to the Ark for a night of game viewing from the lodge precincts. Here enjoy your dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Aberdares to Lake Nakuru
After breakfast at your hotel, you will drive to Lake Nakuru National Park where you will arrive in time for lunch. Leave for an afternoon game drive to view the Flamingos and other birds that feed in the alkaline water. Here you will have the opportunity to see wildlife such as the black and white rhino, buffalo, leopard, lion, Rothschild giraffe, white and black colobus monkey, eland and much more. After your game drive return to Lake Nakuru Lodge where you will spend the night and dinner.
Day 3: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara
After your breakfast, drive west past Mount Longonot via Narok to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at Mara Sopa Lodge. After lunch depart for an afternoon game drive then return back to Mara Sopa Lodge for your dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Early Morning and afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s best and most scenic game park. The Masai Mara has a thriving, permanent population of plains game, amplified in the dry season by the migration of two million wildebeest and zebras. Of the hunter’s “big five,” elephant, buffalo, lion, and leopard are quite common, while even the much rarer rhino might come out of the thicket for you. Hyenas are plentiful and the cheetah is often seen. Other marvels of the Masai Mara include giraffe, elephant, red-tailed monkeys and a host of antelope. Optional excursions at an additional cost include: Bush walks, Maasai community visits and hot air ballooning. Return for all meals and your overnight stay at Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 5: Depart from Masai Mara to Nairobi
After breakfast at the Lodge, embark on your return journey to Nairobi. On arrival in Nairobi you will be dropped off at the famous Carnivore Restaurant for lunch. In the mid afternoon transfer to Jomo Kenyatta Airport to connect to your home flight.
